Highland Park / University Park Sinus Lift
A sinus lift is a procedure that increases the bone structure in your upper jaw region, specifically in the area of your molars. The procedure adds bone between your jaw and your sinus cavities on either side of your nose. In order to create room for this new bone, sinus membranes usually have to be lifted upward in your facial structure. A sinus lift is performed when there is not sufficient bone structure in the upper jaw, or sinus cavities are too close to the jaw for dental implants to be used. A sinus lift is the first step toward achieving a dazzling new smile.
While this is a complicated procedure, Dr. Ted Smith is highly experienced in performing sinus lifts to prepare for dental implants. We are committed to making sure you feel comfortable with the procedure and will address any concerns you may have and thoroughly explain your procedure. While we know dental procedures can be stressful, we want to ensure that you have the best experience possible and your comfort is our top priority.
